Something wron with K2 App

Hi Mark,

After updating K2 app and pulugin, when someone read an article it pushes alot of stream item on stream and with wrong users, can you check it please, you can see it on my demo site also

So here some info for you what Nik did before:

1- Content Lenght restriction (its OK now)
2-Prevent pushing item on stream, if the same user reads the same article (i couldnt test it if it works now or not)

Both live and test site has the same credientials, you can work with one of them

Sorry but I don't get you here. Which user account are you referring to ? Can you please include it in the site details area.

Hey Mark,

Go to my site and login with stackideas account (provided on main site details area) , both front and back-end, active k2 pulugin, and then create a demo user for you, after that go to mysite.com/sonhaberler with your demo user , click one one of news link, then check dasboard, you will see more then 20- 30 items in the same time from k2 app for per click, that is all . Please dont forgat delete k2 items on my site dasboard after test


By the way we need "delete all similar items function" for delete more then one item (comes from the same app). This is the 35454 times i am asking this , anyway, you will understand why we need this after progress above steps and deleting more then 50 k2 stream items on my dasboard...

Hello Gokhan,

I've followed the steps and tried to replicate the issue with demostack user I've created. But it seems like I can't reproduce this issue. Please advise.

Hi Nik,

Yes you couldnt, because K2 ES pulugin was not there. It was removed, not sure you did or I Anyway, i installed K2 ES pulugin. Now you can see easily K2 outputs on my dasboard, I just read 1 article but it pushed more then 10 articles. Please check immediately, just read one article by clicking link on mysite.com/sonhaberler

I'm sorry but I seems like can't replicate it. Can you specify which stream item that has the wrong user and what is the correct user for that stream item so I can fix it based on your information. Please advise.

Hi nik,

when some one reads an article k2 pushes items with item owner name, for examle i added some article with my super user account, now somebody reads an article it pushes with my username, not with reading person
