The problem is actually not related to EasyDiscuss but instead, the menu item "Polaris" is set to only appear to users under the "Polaris" access level but since the only user group associated with "Polaris" acl, is "PUG", http://take.ms/Rl3xY this is why the user "shirleyphilipe" cannot view the menu item.

If I add the group "PUG" to the user shirleyphilipe, I am able to view the page at http://innovativeusers.org/index.php/iug-forum/polaris.html without any issues.
