The Continue reading button is not showing up even though it's enabled.

The breadcrumbs do not display the current article

I can't figure out how to get the Author's name removed from the display. All I want is the article title and the creation date.

I can't figure out how to disable the article post cover image.

This is a test site. I've given you Super User access.
Yes you can disable page caching for now.

Hi Paul,
The Continue reading button is not showing up even though it's enabled.
If you are referring to the /blog page, which is the grid layout menu item, once you enable the readmore, you have to clear the cache to see the changes(attached1).
The breadcrumbs do not display the current article
This is due to the cache system on the site. I have helped you configure the breadcrumbs module to not use any caching from the site so that it shows accordingly in each page(attached2).

I have helped you disable this setting and clear the cache.
Settings>Views>Post(Entry)>Show Post Author
I can't figure out how to disable the article post cover image.
Are you referring to the post listing, or the post entry page? Remember to clear the cache after changing settings since there is cache enabled on your site.

Each time I make a change to the blog, I clear the cache, both in the site and in the browser that I'm viewing it with. The continue reading buttons are still not there in the grid layout. They do show up in other layouts. For example, if I change the menu item to Posts Frontpage, Post Listing Style to Columns, Column Style to Grid Layout, Columns Per Row to 2 columns, and Post Layout to Card Layout, the Continue Reading buttons are visible. But they are not visible when I chose the menu item Posts Grid Layout, which is the one that i prefer.

Hey Paul,

Can you check again. I have helped you do the following and the readmore button is showing on grid layout.
1. change blog menu item to grid layout.
2. enable readmore button in grid options.
3. save the blog menu item.
4. clear joomla cache.

Yes, I see it now. Except on the slier in the upper left-hand corner. I suppose it doesn't work there.

Is there a way to remove the Team and Calendar menu items form the blog header? We don't have any teams, and we don't post very frequently, so both Menu items are fairly useless.

There is a Featured Style setting inside the grid menu item settings. You can change it around to see if there is a style you like.

I have helped you removed them by disabling their setting inside the stackideas toolbar module(attached).

There is a LOT to this extension. Thanks for helping me. I have to tell you, I love the way it looks in the grid layout. I think it will be a big hit. I am a little-bit concerned about the lighthouse results, especially regarding accessibility, but that's something I can work on.

This is one of the things that Lighthouse is complaining about. That's not something that I can fix.

These are opportunities to improve the usage of ARIA in your application which may enhance the experience for users of assistive technology, like a screen reader.

You're most welcome Paul.

What is the link I can use to test EasyBlog on Lighthouse? I would like to see their complaints.

Lighthouse is built in to Google Chrome. Load any webpage. Then click on the 3 vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner of the browser, select developer tools. From the tab menu, cilck on the double arrows pointing right on the right-hand side, and select Lighthouse. Then run the report.

Is there a way to put the images above the posts in the slider gallery? On mobile devices, the text is not visible at all in portrait mode. All the posts are fine, because the images display above the text.

Thanks for the info Paul. Will look into lighthouse.

Can you provide me a screenshot of the issue on mobile?
Can you also try turning off cache completely on the site and try on mobile again? Currently the site is loading very slow for me so I'm not able to do these.

The mobile layout for the slider should look something like this(attached).

Sure. If you look at the screenshot, you can see there's no text for the article about Cuba, just the flag. when on moblile devices, the grid should stack, so that it only displays one article across the screen, and you have to scroll down to see more.

I don't know why that doesn't work that way.

The mobile layout when you're in one article is fine. It's only on the frontpage that there is a problem, and it's only with the slider. When you scroll down below the slider, you see three equal columns of content.

Hey Paul,

This is because of the cache. It appears that cache is happening too aggressively until the desktop layout remains on mobile. That is until you clear the cache.

If you disable the page cache plugin, clear the cache, then swtich between desktop and mobile layouts, are they loading correctly each time?

You're absolutely right. Should I leave page caching disabled permanently?
