I just created our first official blog using the new composer. I hope to publish it tomorrow. I decided to delay the publishing because it has a few pretty small problems but I wanted to make sure you saw. I won't publish this as it is and so plan to clean up these issues before I publish tomorrow by removing the modules in question.

The blog is in our drafts folder and is named "Eat Fruits and Vegetables to Cut Colorectal Cancer Risk"

1) I have a text block and then below that I have three Links blocks and then two module blocks. There is basically NO padding between the modules when you Preview Post.

2) For some reason the names of the Categories are duplicated at the top of the blog. In this case I have the blog in two categories: "Health Issues" and "Food Matters". It displays as:

May 4, 2017 Linda Carney MD Health Issues Health Issues Food Matters Food Matters 0 Hits 0 Comments

3) The three Links modules are displaying the logo image from the page instead of the cover image from the blog.

That is it for now. :-)

Sean
Hi Sean,

Please find your inquiries below.

1) I have a text block and then below that I have three Links blocks and then two module blocks. There is basically NO padding between the modules when you Preview Post.

Maybe you can try to apply codes below on your custom.css and see how it goes

#eb .ebd-block[data-type="text"] {
margin-bottom: 10px;
}
#eb .ebd-block[data-type="text"] {
margin-bottom: 10px !important;
}

2) For some reason the names of the Categories are duplicated at the top of the blog. In this case I have the blog in two categories: "Health Issues" and "Food Matters". It displays as:

It seems that i can replicate those and i have issues this to our developer and this will included on our next release version.

3) The three Links modules are displaying the logo image from the page instead of the cover image from the blog.

You can configure which image you like to shown actually as you can see here http://take.ms/raOAx. You only need to click on the links blocks and choose those image.

Please advice.

Thank you very much for your reply. I have published the post so that you can see some of the problems that remain in a published state. I will not share this on social media until it is fixed but this is my first blog post using the EasyBlog Composer and I wanted to see it in a real world application. :-)

1) The css code you gave me seems to have worked from within the composer but it is NOT displaying the same after being published. Interesting. I hope you can check to see if this is happening to you as well. You can find the blog now published in the Posts area. Title is "Eat Fruits and Vegetables to Cut Colorectal Cancer Risk". You will see that extra padding has been added below the blocks. Then check out the actual published blog and I believe you will see no padding added below the blocks: https://www.drcarney.com/blog/entry/eat-fruits-and-vegetables-to-cut-colorectal-cancer-risk

2) I hope you will be able to patch the problem soon regarding the category names being duplicated. Now the categories are actually being duplicated three times. :-(

3) Thank you very much for educating me about how top select from the various images. That really works well.

Thank you, Sean

Hi Sean,

It seems that i have wrongly gave you those css codes actually. My fault.

The correct one was as follow below.

#eb .ebd-block[data-type="links"] {
margin-bottom: 10px !important;
}
#eb .ebd-block[data-type="text"] {
margin-bottom: 10px !important;
}

By the way, regarding our bug above, my colleague already fixed them but somehow, those fixes are on JS files and currently Easyblog cannot run on development mode. But, there are ways to avoid it from repeating actually

When you creating those post, you must avoid to choose/change those subcategories twice. If you click those, twice or maybe trice, it will somehow shown you double or maybe trice. That was the bug actually. It will self rendered those categories you when you clicked them few time. Maybe at first, you can choose one category only(not subcategories). After you satisfied with those blog(done editing), you can choose them(those subcategories), and post them on your site. Hope this help a bit to resolve this multiplying categories.

3) Thank you very much for educating me about how top select from the various images. That really works well.

It is my pleasure to be able to help you, Sean.

Although... for some reason they are still not working on the front end: https://www.drcarney.com/blog/entry/eat-fruits-and-vegetables-to-cut-colorectal-cancer-risk

Abdul, The picture you gave me shows a large space within a module but not BELOW the module. That URL belongs to the Title and Text that is above it. But, that is not what the problem is. The problem is that all the modules are pressed up against each other with no padding.

There needs to be space below that url that you are pointing to and the module before it. I am actually surprised that there is no padding between the links and the modules.

On the image you just showed me it should look more like this:

I hope this makes sense. I have commented out the CSS changes you sent me since they were not working and hope that you might be able to differentiate the borders of the blocks and figure out why there is no padding between them.

I am attaching a picture where I put a rectangular box around each of the "Blocks" so that you can see that the blocks are right up against each other. This is making the top of each block look like is is a part of the block below it. We need to separate these blocks. Please let me know if these blocks are being pushed together by anything that I am doing wrong. Thank you,

Sean

Hi Sean,

I am sorry for inconvenience caused Maybe my screenshot have confused you. Maybe my arrow a little bit off its purpose actually. The main idea on what i referring to are all those padding between those modules(links block) and not between links and text on the links blocks.

On my end, there are padding between those blocks as shown http://take.ms/7v6NA. Maybe you can try to clear your browser cache and see how it goes

By the way, maybe i have totally miss-understand these currently, can you provide me with some attachment so that we are in same idea on how to solve this for you.

Please advice

Is your screen shot from the EasyBlog Composer or from the actual web page?

My screenshot from the composers looks good. Just like yours. But the screenshot from the published actual page no longer has the padding.

Thank you again so much for your time on this.

I have just put back the CSS changes for text, link and module blocks to add padding. I do not see the changes showing up on the page. I have all caching turned off and I have also turned off the CDN until this is resolved. Here again is the url of the post: https://www.drcarney.com/blog/entry/eat-fruits-and-vegetables-to-cut-colorectal-cancer-risk

Thanks, Sean

Abdul,

I am using Google Chrome for Windows and Firefox for Windows. I have cleared the history and also cleared all caches and turned off the cdn so this is baffling me. But, interestingly enough I am now seeing my page the same way you are seeing it. I can see the 10 pixel bottom padding now.

What is odd to me is that I have since increased the padding at the bottom to 40 but it is still displaying the 10.

I am thinking that it appears that your CSS is working and that the problem was on my end. But, I would love to know if you are seeing the padding as 40 now.

I am going to ask my host since this issue just started happening in hopes that they might have an idea.
