Creating an Album (or photos there) has NO privacy options!! The Privacy options as in the status ( story) box should be present everywhere - Photos, Events, Notes

Photo Privacy : By default, the photo privacy option should follow the privacy settings that was set either by the admin (in the backend) or by the profile owner (in the front end).

How can I see a collection of my OWN Likes, when I visit a Friends Profile, her Likes? (Buddypress, Elgg has this)

Sorry, but there are no option to view other user likes in one page yet.

Groups show 'All, Feature, My, Invited' BUT does not show 'Groups I own/manage' (Others have this)

For the group filter, currently the option is already in EasySocial's code, but it's not implemented yet. However, users are free to hack and edit the code to call this function.

RSS feeds to show Titles ( or Titles + Excerpts) in sidebar if user want so (Buddypress, Elgg has this nicely - Elgg even "import" this as stream items so that you can locally Like and comment them)

As for the RSS feature, I believe my colleague Yasser has already replied you at http://stackideas.com/forums/how-can-a-site-member-show-rss-feeds-in-the-side-bar-in-his-profile. In case you missed it, currently this feature is not available in EasySocial.

For the group name's truncation, I believe that this is a very, very minor feature which doesn't really fall into the developer's consideration. Every time we create a feature or function, we will ask ourselves (and based on our experience) whether it is needed or not. None of us have actually came across a community that uses a group name which has more than 30 characters. However, if this is needed, we can and will implement it.

The privacy setting in the status box doesn't applied to Quick Event creation. This is due to the fact that Events has it's own unique privacy setting (open event, closed event etc).

Image attachment in comment is not available in EasySocial in the first place. Is there anything that I've missed?

I'm not sure on your definition of "resource-hungry", but I believe that CometChat is one good chat solution that you can use on EasySocial.

Is everything feature-frozen? Many scripts will push in small improvements or iterations weekly or daily if not in the code then as extensions/plugins. 2 issues I think you need to address seriously. If you are heavily satisfied with your sales then its okay. But otherwise, many users who will be looking at you, wanting to come to you from other scripts, will be disappointed by the fact that

2) If I am not able to see back my own Likes, if I am unable to come to see my Likes afterwards what is the point in Liking then? Imagine if you were able to bookmark pages in your browser but no way to retrieve them later! I understand other "features" are either not felt necessary by you OR are way too difficult to implement right now BUT why not implement this right now ? I mean is it so difficult to have an extension that can show a Likes filter right now - my own Likes and my friend's Likes (when I visit that Friend's profile)

That is okay, what If I need to change the privacy of Album ABC to "Only me" while keeping other Albums "For All"

Yes it applies. See the picture please - http://s22.postimg.org/fs7upuwe9/event.png . Whether an Event is closed or open, I can apply privacy settings via the Quick Form but not the Full form. Everywhere on the net or in social scripts an Event can be closed or open and privacy settings can be applied too. The 'open/close' and 'privacy' are two different elements. Presence of one does not mean the other is not applicable. Example: An event is closed to any attendee but still visible to my "custom" members

Login as Darius in the demo site - then go to his Group 'Rock the Music' - see the cover or top of the page - now click create New Discussion - see how the Cover or the top of the page unnecessarily changes appearance - see the picture link above -
This does not happen only in Group but inconsistently throughout the site
for example when you see an alert like this
""You are trying to view or edit a restricted photo.
Sorry, but you do not have the permission to view or edit this photo"". - This changes the Profile Cover photo or Profile Top appearance.

This is easily available in Jomsocial. (See Jomsocial demo) As well as other non-Joomla scripts. Just one image (sqaure or rect. thumb per comment, not more than one or else it "pollutes" the stream) Shouldn't you think this is an urgent need?


So all said and done, I think you can quickly push in some integration in appearance and presentation logic. And if nothing else, please implement a Likes tab or Likes filter - so that I can see my Likes and your Likes too. It need not wait till the next version - it can be an App or Extension right now
The stuffs I have said are not really something exotic or fancy but are useful things being much in use by members of other sites or scripts. Do not the lead developers think in the same line and want to do rapid, fast and sustained development? I have no idea. But will be glad to know. Thanks and best regards.

Thanks for the positive input. I believe what you are trying to achieve here is basically the same as what we all want to achieve. It require one small step for greater future. I believe what we did for the past few years will continue to grow up with the help of everyone especially our valuable customer

With that being said, we will take all of your input and turn it into something positive and hopefully we will able to achieve it. Regarding on your request to implement the likes tab and likes filter, I will sent the request to our development team and hopefully their hand is not too full yet with the current development task. I hope you understand.

Just my last request - please pass on these additional small request to the Team:

1) Let user choose Album privacy at the time of creating album - this is the accepted norm everywhere ( any script or real net) so that different albums can be meant for different folks - eg. friends, only me, public etc
2) Event Creation short or quick form should hide privacy options (as it is meaningless for Events) - please see / pass on the attached picture -
