Hi guys,

Ive noticed a couple of times now that images on shares have not been coming through to the stream.

For example http://www.wheeconomics.com/mywhee/stream/item/796

This hasn't been happening at all before and when the same links are shared on Facebook for example the images are pulled and displayed just fine.

Could you advise on the best way to troubleshoot this please?

thanks,

Paula
Hi Paula Livingstone,

Seems like the page that you want to shared the links of, consist of oembedd tag where EasySocial detected it as a content that consist video. This issue has been fix in our repository and will be included in our incoming release. For now, you need to replace the files attached in the folder below respectively:
JoomlaFolder/media/com_easysocial/apps/user/links/links.php
JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/crawler/hooks/abstract.php
JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easysocial/tables/link.php
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/streams/links/preview.php

And in order to regenerate back the links tables properly, you need to truncate the #_social_links table (# is your table prefix) and refresh the stream view of the link.
You will encounter a slow in accessing the stream view for the first time ( because system want to regenerate the link back into the table).

You're suggested to backup the file that you want to replace beforehand for precaution
