After investigating for some time, it appears that this is an old bug that was addressed during the release of version 3.2.

However, the fix does not affect existing items that were affected by the bug. Basically what happen here is, the stream item for those photos were deleted a long time ago, but the delete process was not complete. It left behind the photo itself.

So now when you try to load this photo, it cannot load because there is no stream item associated with it anymore.
Ever since v3.2, after we release the fix, when a photo stream item is deleted, its photo and all associated activity will also be deleted.

To address your issue, which one items affected before the fix, you must delete the affected photos.
