Hello,

We are looking to create multiple portals on our website based categories and show content coming from various extensions (discussions, articles, event, ..). For example Cars portal for cars discussions, news .. Jets portal, etc..

What page builder or method you recommend please ?
A simple joomla page (feature article menu) with modules is good for example ?
Is it you want something like display all of these information (group, event, discussion, article and etc) in one page (e.g. Cars portal)?

I think you can try SP Page Builder then assign these following module on the page :

- Easysocial group, event, page module
- Easydiscuss recent discussion module
- Easyblog latest blog post module

Remember configure to show specific category you would like to show on these module.

But before you use this SP Page Builder, I think you have to consult with them whether possible to achieve your current requirement first.

@HMED speaking from experience with both SP Page Builder, EasySocial/Easyblog it is what you need.I agree with @Arlex Wong You can show any modules in SP Page Builder pages. Question is if this is all you need. This is enough for category pages, landing pages....etc...and it works very well!

If you need more directory based solution with robust hierarchy/structure, entries there are more complex solutions like sobi pro or mossets tree.

It all depends on your specific usecase.

Thanks you guys,

meanchile i have a fundamental problem, i found two choices :
> use a page builder with modules, for ex latest discussions from ED, this will show only X recent discussions but not more, how can people see the whole ED category content ? i need to add a link under the module "See more discussion" for example, i need to to this for every content module !

> Use menus, for example create an ED frontpage menu with category filters to show discussions from X category, this way i dont need to create links under this because users can navigate by clicking on pagination.

dont know if this make sens ?

Hey HMED,

> Use menus, for example create an ED frontpage menu with category filters to show discussions from X category, this way i dont need to create links under this because users can navigate by clicking on pagination.

Do you mean you would like to put one of the module display all the Easydiscuss existing categories similar like this screenshot https://take.ms/WPcXH ?

If that is the case, it actually depend on how you design the page layout, from what I see your 2 point at above, both ideas also will be fine.

> use a page builder with modules, for ex latest discussions from ED, this will show only X recent discussions but not more, how can people see the whole ED category content ? i need to add a link under the module "See more discussion" for example, i need to to this for every content module !

But this one you need to customize a little bit for those modules, because most of the modules we didn't show this kind of 'See more discussion' link from the module.

By the way, thanks for sharing Pavol Nagy

Hi, hi

I have been using Page Builder for years and it is insanely powerful. Also it lets you edit in the front end which might be interesting for some people working on the site. Their support is pretty good as well. The only thing that bothers me about SP builder is that I sometimes find it too complex. But then maybe you can set up some templates from which people can work off…

best
