Since the update to Easysocial, when a user tries to post a link to the stream, it doesn't load up correctly. Please see attached for what I mean:

(clarification: it works correctly for external links, but not links coming from the same domain's easyblog installation)
Hello Tim,

Ah, okay I guess that is the reason why our link crawler isn't able to crawl it. When crawling the site, it's just like loading another browser and it will try to render the link that you have shared. Since, most of these links are restricted to registered users, the link wouldn't be able to crawl it

Hello Tim,

It's most likely that your web server is preventing the connection made to itself. Most hosting providers are preventing it to avoid hackers from attacking itself and it's more of a firewall rule issue. Can you check this with your hosting provider if such rules are in place?

If there are no such rules in place, can you please provide us with the FTP access so that I can check on this?

We don't think there is anything in place preventing the local call, we can wget URLs locally from account on server with no issues except we are generally served the login page.

Wondering if its not related to LockDown or the fact that we require Author permission to access the EasySocial Dashboard?

Hello Tim,

The link that you are trying to share, can you verify that you can also view the content as public? Also, what is the link that you are trying to share here?

The link is:
https://www.wcsmission.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&view=entry&id=159&Itemid=198

The link is not viewable to the public.

That said, nothing on the site is viewable to the public including EasySocial... so anyone seeing the Post is already logged in with proper credentials.
Is it just the system itself that can't pull it through because must be set to public for that to work properly?
