i keep having articles i write and promote get say - 80 "likes" and thats great. it makes my articles look good and popular. however, at times i go look again later and its' 0.

what is happening or what am i doing that makes those reset to 0 and losing all the social "momentum" i gained previously?
Hello Jerry,

Unfortunately that is the only way Facebook is able to identify the page and the number of likes / shares performed on that page. When you change the permalink of an item, Facebook will not be able to know that the item was related to a different url

facebook likes in particular.

http://www.renegaderadio.net - see "an evening with patrick kennison" for example - it had 60+ likes and is now 0.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

May i know do you have change your blog article URL recently?

For example this URL :
.../index.php/social-articles/Music%20News%20Interviews%20Reviews/an-evening-with-patrick-kennison
- /index.php (URL Rewriting)
- /social-articles (menu alias)
- /Music%20News%20Interviews%20Reviews (category alias)
- /an-evening-with-patrick-kennison (blog alias)

Because Facebook LIKE is actually follow your blog URL to store the LIKE data, if the blog URL get updated mean all the LIKE count will start from 0.
