The following image appears when using the social share option to share on Facebook, could you advise how to correct please?
Which page are you trying to share?

Sorry Mark, I only added the first line of my query into the initial post, the rest of the post is below............

I am using the Social Share button from two posts in the Community Steam at https://www.bowlschat.com/community (the two text posts near the top starting with Jean and Marie).

It also happens when i try and social share the two posts from my profile stream.

The text posts normally appear on our Facebook page with the user image on the left and text on the right, not sure what has changed after the last update.

Hi Richard,

It appears that the avatar dimension size does not satisfy Facebook requirements but it's strange that it was working previously as you mentioned since Facebook's sharing requirement has always been 200x200.

I will log this in our tracker so we can address this.

Thank you Raymond, appreciated.

If it helps, the last time i used it was Monday 11 June and it posted correctly on our Facebook Page (see image), although the 140x140 png avatar was blurred.

Hey Richard,

Thanks for the info. If you place the link from 11 June into Facebook's debugger(http://take.ms/cRB2L), you can see that the image cannot be crawled by Facebook due to not satisfying the dimensions requirement.

I find it strange that it was working before or sometimes. But in the future, we will make sure that 200x200 is used for avatar images in meta tags so that it can be always accepted by FB.

Thank you Raymond, if 200x200 is always going to be used should i change the image from 140x140 to 200x200 to avoid any possible blurring with increasing the original image size?

Yes Richard you can do that. Resizing will generate several sizes for avatars and large version will be 200x200. So if your original image is 200x200, the quality should remain the same after resizing.
