Hi, continuation of this thread

http://stackideas.com/forums/social-share-google-and-iphones

Client is saying her iphone won't offer the Google share option as previous. Maybe the update to v5 overwrote previous solution?

Thanks
Hi Chris Hall,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Thanks for the ftp access. I've added the google share button on your EasyBlog and now you can share your blog post in your iphone Below is the file I've modified.

JOOMLA/components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/blogs/part.socialbuttons.php

In this file, I've added below code at line 35 ~ 40:

<div class="eb-share-google-plus" style="width:60px">
<div class="eb-social-button google-plusone">
<script src="https://apis.google.com/js/platform.js" async defer></script>
<div class="g-plus" data-action="share" data-width="60" data-notation="none"></div>
</div>
</div>

You will need to keep this changes safe so that in future you've upgraded your EasyBlog, you will need to re-apply the changes again.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hey Chris,

Just tested this on my iphone and it seems to be working fine. Take a look at my screen shot below:

Hi Mark, the issue is the function of the G+ button. With Safari on iPhone it doesn't offer to share, just to add a +1.

Thanks

Hi Chris Hall,

Regarding your issue, I just tried with my Iphone again on your blog post by clicking on the G+ button and the google plus button did work correctly. Please see attached image.

By the way, it seems like the page was cached thus i have to refresh the web browser few times to get the count appear correctly.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hi, the Google +1 function has always worked. The issue is that clicking on the +1 button also opens up a box to share the post as well. At least it does on everything but my client's iphone. The previous thread was solved somehow but I assume the solution was lost during an upgrade at some point.

Thanks
