Perhaps you can explain a bit about the social share buttons. For instance earlier I shared a post and it had a couple dozen social shares, but later i went back to that same page and all the social share buttons read 0.
Hey Keith,

If you have created a menu item which links to a single entry layout, EasyBlog will use that URL for the entry. This is to avoid duplicate URLs by Google and this allows site owner to have greater control over the posts urls.

For instance, if you create a blog post called "About" and the link to the blog post links as http://site.com/blog/about . However, it wouldn't make sense to have a /blog/ in the url. Some site owners would want to create a menu item which links to the entry and just call it "about" allowing it to achieve URL like http://site.com/about

Hey Keith,

Did the URL changed or if the permalink was modified? Facebook associates these counters with the URL that is being viewed. If the URL changes, the counter could get reset.

Hey Keith,

Hm, if you are using SH404, you need to review your previous settings again.

So last night I decided to resubmit one of my entries to social media. Now that most of the conversion to the new easyblog is done. So I did and yet again pretty quickly all my social share buttons went back to 0. Tthe only thing I think i did during that time was that I made a menu item .

OK i figured it out while i was posting this but ill let you know anyway in case you don't know or forgot and someone has similar problem.

I don't know if its joomla core, you component, or sh404, but when I created a menu item to the easyblog entry (as I mentioned in the other post I wanted to to try and assign a module) it must have created a duplicate or different URL and that made all my social share buttons go to 0, even if i clicked the link from social media OR the link on my easyblog listings view.
