If you have created a menu item which links to a single entry layout, EasyBlog will use that URL for the entry. This is to avoid duplicate URLs by Google and this allows site owner to have greater control over the posts urls.
For instance, if you create a blog post called "About" and the link to the blog post links as
http://site.com/blog/about . However, it wouldn't make sense to have a /blog/ in the url. Some site owners would want to create a menu item which links to the entry and just call it "about" allowing it to achieve URL like
http://site.com/about
