Hello,

I have Easyblog installed with the Social Buttons showing on the right.

I have social media buttons in this order Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Digg. But they are not showing on the front end.

I am using Easy Blog 3.7.14169.

Thanks, Chuck
Hello Chuck,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Please upgrade EasyBlog to the latest version as it is most likely because some of the social buttons there might have some API changes.

Hello,

I finally just upgraded to the lastest version of EasyBlog to correct the problem with Facebook icon not showing up. It is still broken. It should be showing on the right with the other social media icons.

Now when I share a blog post to Facebook with share button at the bottom of the post, It doesn't put any titling or photos from the blog post. It is just a blank post with the URL. (It was doing this before the upgrade.) See attached image.

The Facebook share button has always worked fine in the past, showing the title and the image etc.

There is a link to the blog post below.

Thanks!!

Hello Chuck Irestone,

It seems like this blog post is still under the unpublished status, because when i tried to access this, it showing :
The entry is currently unpublished, you can publish it from the dashboard
If the blog post is unpublished, the Facebook will not get the information from your blog post.

Hello,

I recreated the post and it is now at this link
http://www.dougpeacock.net/blog/westerners-fear-public-land-grab-by-county-commissioner-1.html

I can now share this new post to Facebook. So it must have been an error when I created the first one.

However, the Facebook icon is still not showing on the rightside of the blog post.

Can you help fix that?

Thanks, Chuck

Hello,

I figured out what was going on. Everything works if I turn off the sh404sef. But when I turn it on it breaks the sharing to Facebook. On both the share button on the right and the Add This.

See the attached images. One with it working, one with it not working.

I am glad the facebook is now on the right.

Can you fix the sharing?

Hello Chuck Irestone,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have copy your that blog post URL paste in Facebook debugger tools, the result ( https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dougpeacock.net%2Fblog%2Fwesterners-fear-public-land-grab-by-county-commissioner.html ) is :
Object at URL 'http://www.dougpeacock.net/blog/westerners-fear-public-land-grab-by-county-commissioner.html' of type 'article' is invalid because the given value '' for property 'fb:app_id' could not be parsed as type 'fbid'.

Can you try add your Facebook Admin ID (Your facebook profile ID) and App ID in your backend > Easyblog > Setting > social integration > Facebook like and see how it goes.

Hello,

I was able to add the Facebook Admin Id and that took care of the problem.

Thanks so much!
