Smart Search sorts results by relevance. The order of the finder plugins has no influence on the order of the search results. The finder plugins are never executed during searching. They are only used to populate the index. This is not a bug, but expected behavior.

Steps to reproduce the issue
In backend > plugins > finder, I sorted plugins to display "Users" at the end of list:

Smart Search - EasyBlog Posts
Smart Search - EasySocial Videos
Smart Search - EasySocial Albums
Smart Search - EasySocial Groups
Smart Search - EasySocial Users
Result
But in fact (IN FRONTEND), in search results the latest items is 3. “Smart Search - EasySocial Albums”.

Expected result
I expected to see 5. “Smart Search - EasySocial Users” at the end (Albums should be before Users).

Even Joomla smart search also can't be achieved, the Joomla default sorting only available for relevance, date, and list price.

If you would like the Easysocial search sorted by date instead of relevance then it is not possible to achieve this at this point of time.

Currently, the Easysocial search result only sorting by relevance.

Hello. Can you please discuss this issue and may be fix it in future releases.
I mean – respect Joomla (Smart Search) settings. For example sort items by "date" (or other) instead of "relevance" (as default)?
users ask that they would like to seee fresh items on top of search results.
