I use Smart Search for the great user benefits on my Joomla 3.x site at http://www.sharpcpa.com
I tried the Smart Search Plugin, but it is stated as Joomla 2.5 only
The results did not include EasyBlog?

Is there any planned update to the plugin?

It would be greatly appreciated
Hello Mike,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
I have tried in my local Joomla 3.2.1 using the smart search module + EasyBlog smart search plugin, the result is come out included blog entry.
You can follow my instruction below :
Step 1 : GOTO > backend > Module manager > Click "NEW" > Select "Smart Search Module" > set "published" and select "which page you want it to show"
Step 2 : Download the "EasyBlog smart search plugin" from this side ( http://stackideas.com/downloads/plugins/easyblog )
Step 3 : Install it and enable that "EasyBlog smart search plugin"
Step 4 : GOTO > backend > Component > Smart search > Click "Index"
Step5 : Completed.
If this instruction is not help much here, ss it possible for you to provide us with the Joomla back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue? Please advise.

Hi Alex,

I followed the steps as outlined above, creating the module I called Easyblog Smart Search and ran the indexer. I'm finding that it isn't loading any of the blog posts. I selected no pages, as I don't want to create two search boxes; if someone searches on this site, they should do so from site search only, but the Easyblog content should be included in the results. I typed in the search term Linamar. It should show up two results, one in from the website content and the other in Easyblog. It's only showing the website content, not the Easyblog post.

Thanks,

Norman

Norman - If this might help... here is what my Smart Search Option Area looks like and after indexing the articles/blogs need to be checked to be included (the default).
Also be sure to clear all cache! I think that was an issue for me.

Hi Mike, thanks for the trouble. Our settings all appear identical. But the indexer doesn't appear to be indexing the Easyblog content. I scrolled through the indexed titles to find a few blog titles, but they weren't listed. I have another support ticket open about some php errors that appeared after the site update to Joomla 3, so those may be causing the lack of indexing.

We are running Joomla 3.2 and have found no errors, just as an FYI.

Be sure you installed the "EasyBlog smart search plugin." found here smart search plugin-link to download - re-index and clear cache.

Those are my only thoughts... good luck.

That's what I installed; reindexed and cleared the cache. Stackideas will need to take a look.

Hi Arlex,

It seems to be finding the results now. I wonder if this is a server cache rather than a Joomla cache issue?
Thanks for the help.
