EasyDiscuss has suddenly started to add "Sitedetails" to each new post, revealing not only the username of the poster, but also his password which really *****, especially on a highly political dissident website like mine.
Hey there,
I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. You can actually disable this feature as shown in my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/toPQsN1ujz
It was set to 'no' for both settings, but on the right, it had selected all sorts of groups. When I tried to unselect them all and save the new settings it reverted to selecting them all. I ended up only selecting one particular special user group, 'Josetta', a group only I belong to, and was able to save that setting. But this looks like a bug to me. Why has it suddenly started doing this?!
My point is that I never enabled this features, for obvious reasons, and I am wondering what made the software suddendly reveal the username and password of my forum users. Not exactly very desirable for a political and highly controversial political forum like mine.
I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. Actually none of user can see the information inside site details as this is exclusive for site admin such as yours. Only you can view these information. The same concept applies to stackideas forum where none of the users are able to see your site details except stackideas staff.
By the way I've applied the fix inside our easydiscuss repository where for each fresh installation of easydiscuss later on, these option will get disabled by default. Thank you for your kind concern and we are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
