Hello,

I'm really experiencing frustrating speeds in loading up the site on mobile devices in particular. I disabled 3rd party extensions to assess but was still same.

I'll appreciate it if you have any advise or suggestions on this.

Regards
Hello Michael,

There's something really odd with your web hosting because I am able to access it now after a day. I have just tried to disable a plugin "System - Techjoomla - Assets Loader" and now the server is blocking me again

Anyway it does seem like when this plugin is activated, it adds an additional 400ms - 600ms in initial loading time of the page. Could you see if the page loading time is much faster now?

I have also added the necessary deflate codes to compress the js and css files for your entire site so the size of the site is reduced greatly.

Hello Michael,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. The site is actually loading pretty fast for me and when I benchmark / profile for the initial page load, it only takes between 1s - 2s.

By the way, since I do not have the FTP access, I can't add the deflate options as outlined in my blog post here, http://stackideas.com/blog/optimizing-the-delivery-of-javascripts-on-joomla . Could you provide me with the FTP access? With the gzip comrpessions, it could reduce the sizes of the js and css files by almost 50% - 60%

Hello Michael,

Hm, is there something wrong with the server? I have tried to modify the .htaccess file but after the modifications, I can't seem to access the FTP any longer. Are you able to access to the FTP?

Hello Mark,

I can access the FTP using the same details. It's working fine.

You want to give it a try again.

Hmm,

That's weird. Everything is working fine here. Do you wanna refresh your browser cache and try.

If that don't work, I'll probably have to try creating another account

Hello Michael,

I think the server is blocking me for some reasons. Maybe you could check this with your web host?

Hello Mark,

They've not observed any errors on the server log from their end but have advised you try now and if error pesists to update with the exact error info for investigation. All seems fine from my end.

Hopefully this should be working now.

Thanks Mark.

You've been really helpful. I appreciate it.

Just got one last thing I would appreciate your help with. The ads are set to rotate after a define time (change every 30seconds) but this no longer rotates as scheduled. not sure if the compression has triggered this.

Also users can no longer create new ads. They keep getting error message. See attachment

Can you kindly help with this.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers!
