Hello,
After using the updater of Easyblog i cannot start my url site anymore. Also there were some problems with the updater because it stocked at 10% progress. After that The problem arised.

Hopefully you can help me because my site is unreachable now

Thank you
Hey Rob,

I am sorry that delay of this reply, may i know you trying to update from Easyblog3.9 to Easyblog 5?

If yes, that Easyblog 3.9 updater was not working, you have to download the latest launcher from your dashboard(http://stackideas.com/dashboard) then upload through in Joomla installer. If you need further assistance on this, I will help you upgrade to Easyblog 5.

By the way, your site is work fine now.

Hey Rob,

May i know what do you mean by display Easyblog post on homepage?

Because I've checked in your backend menu structure, it seems like your homepage is actually point to `Articles ยป Featured Articles`.

Regarding the Easyblog post is under this page -> http://www.robkivit-natuurfotografie.nl/index.php/fotoblog-mainmenu (Top menu `Fotoblog`)

Am i missing something here? Please advise.

Arlex,
For some unknown reasons all easyblog modules were unpublished. The most modules i have re-published but there are still some strange issues which i will analyse after work.

I keep you posted

Thank you

Arlex,
I have re-published all easyblog modules (I hope) but so far as I can see everything works fine excect one issue which I try to explain to you

I have made 2-webpages:
Fotoblog (mainmenu)
Nieuws (topmenu)

On both webpages I have made and published several easyblog modules:
Fotoblog: "Blog categorieen", "Recente posts", "Tags", and "Meest bekeken" (all made with easyblog)
Nieuws: "Nieuws categorieen", "Recent Nieuws" and "Meest gelezen"

When you click on the button "Fotoblog" all the modules will be shown as above described by "Fotoblog"
When you click on the button "Nieuws" all the modules will be shown as above described by "Nieuws"

I hope you can still follow me but so far everything works fine

The problem:
When you choose for a certain category e.g. "Canon Rumors" in the category-module named "Nieuws categorieen" it shows correctly all posts belonging to category "Canon Rumors" BUT it will be display under "Fotoblog" instead of staying on "Nieuws".

I hope you understand it a little bit because it's difficult to explain clearly to you

PS: All modules are unique identified by category-ID. So when you select a category such as "Canon Rumors" only the modules "Nieuws categorieen", "Recent Nieuws" and "Meest gelezen" must be shown. Unfortunately it will display the Fotoblog modules: "Blog categorieen", "Recente posts", "Tags", and "Meest bekeken" which is not correct.

With the previous Easyblog version I have no problems with this

Hopefully you can find something which not working properly

Thank you very much!

Kind regard, Rob

Hey Rob,

I am sorry that delay of this reply,

I will list down what I understand as you described at above, you can correct me if I getting wrong your meaning.

At Fotoblog page only display these 4 modules:
http://screencast.com/t/AYjeOj1XjP
http://www.xxx.coml/administrator/index.php?option=com_modules&view=module&layout=edit&id=87
http://www.xxx.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_modules&view=module&layout=edit&id=210
http://www.xxx.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_modules&view=module&layout=edit&id=219
http://www.xxx.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_modules&view=module&layout=edit&id=225

At Nieuws page only display these 4 modules:
http://screencast.com/t/vutFSp9fLpT
http://www.xxx.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_modules&view=module&layout=edit&id=184
http://www.xxx.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_modules&view=module&layout=edit&id=230
http://www.xxx.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_modules&view=module&layout=edit&id=233

By the way, may i know are you facing this issue in Easyblog 3.9x or Easyblog 5?
Because I've checked in your site, it seems like you revert back to Easyblog 3.9x right?

If you would like to achieve this in Easyblog 5, can I have the permission to help you upgrade to Easyblog 5 then I will better have a look of this.

Arlex,
Thank you for responding
You're right that i reverted back to 3.9
Reason is that there are too many differences with Easyblog 5
Therefore, i will first test Easyblog 5 in my own testenvironment

do you know where i can find the installer for Easyblog 5? So i can install it in my testenvironment by myself

Thanks for your help

Hey Rob,

I believe that was better way you can test on your development environment site first.

By right, you can download the latest launcher installer from your dashboard -> http://stackideas.com/dashboard

Hope this helps.
