Hey guys,

I have a quite annoying issue with my Easy Discuss (v3.2.9744).

The problem is that the "Site Details" take the information from the browser. I mean, even if the fields under "Site Details" are empty and the user have saved his username and password in the browser, the "Username" and "Password" fields under "Site Details" will take the values from the browser.

I'm sure you know about this issue, because you are also using ED

This is really an issue because of the following:

1. The "Site Details" box is published in the discussions, even though it shouldn't be (it doesn't matter that only Admins can see it)

2. The information published in the "Site Details" is wrong - it has nothing to do with the user's website, it is the data save in the browser.

As far as I can see you have changed the "input" type for the password to "text", instead of "password". I suppose that some changes to the "input" fields should be made. Anyway, please let me know how to fix this. Thanks.
Thank you Arlex, but come on...

How can I ask all my users to disable the Autofill feature in their browsers? This is not only in Chrome, this is in Firefox and the other browsers.

Thank you for the answer, but the answer I was looking for is:

1. Create a template override for the "field.form.site.php"
a. Copy the "field.form.site.php" file from "root/components/com_easydiscuss/themes/simplistic"
b. Paste it in "root/templates/TEMPLATE_NAME/html/com_easydiscuss"

2. Replace all type="password" with type="text"

After doing the above, the fields are no longer affected by the browser Autofill feature.
