Hello,
I have a development site and have upgraded to the latest version of easyblog, but am still having issues with the menu choice of single category to display just the titles of the blog. I have selected HIDE for most items as you can see in the attached images, yet on the front end EVERYTHING is still displayed.

I'm not sure why this is not hiding based on the selected items, any guidance is greatly appreciated.
Hello Deborah,

Is it possible for you to edit your post and also include the ftp access as well so that I can check on your site?

Yes, actually you have to update us if you already update your site details at first post, if not we couldn't know you already updated

Regarding with your main issue, It seems like you editing wrong menu item, what I noticed is you have created 2 same single category menu item for "Book review".

Then when I access this "Book Review" category page from your site (http://yoursitedomain.com/publications/bmp-book-reviews), it actually refer on this menu item.

// Ignore that semicolon ;

That is not the page I am talking about - it is: ID 712 not 588 - that is a totally different page.

Can you please check ID 712 and let me know if I am not using this menu item correctly as I would expect to be able to limit what shows according to your documentation.

thanks
Deb

hey Deb,

It seems like I can replicate this issue on my locally, the issue only happen when you have 2 same category single menu item :

For example :
http://site.com/publications/bmp-book-reviews (single category menu item - Book Reviews)
http://site.com/publications/bmp-book-review-list (single category menu item - Book Reviews)

I will log this issue into our issue tracker, we will see if we can find a solution for this in next release version.

AH ok that is interesting. So to test things out, I actually unpublished the first one - ID 558 as my goal is to have this just be a list like it is in the module on the right side of the page, but I still get the intro content of the blog. I'm hoping to be able to create a LIST with just the Title, date, author and link it to the article. Is that possible? I don't see where to turn off the content in the menu item.

thanks a bunch,
Deb

Hey Deb,

Unfortunately that was not possible to turn off the content from the single category page.

But I already applied some hack into your template override file, it should remove those blog intro text on that "Book Review" category page.
