Hi there,

I must have turned it off or something but I can't find it. Users who belong to group <any> are not getting notified when there is a new post without that group. They get notified when there are *replies* to posts in group <any>, but not new posts. Where have I gone wrong?

Hey John,

It appears that you are not receiving system notifications in groups because the following setting is disabled.
Settings>Groups>General>Explicitly Display Site Admin’s Story Posting

Try enabling it and see how it goes.

Make sure that members of the group has notification set to default/instant(attached). If you have done this but are still not receiving notifications, can you provide us the site's back-end access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can investigate?

Nobody is getting the notifications. Is it possible I've set an account default to the wrong setting? And if so, can I push an update to existing users or will they need to do it manually?

Thanks for the access John.

While checking your settings, I noticed that the following is disabled.
Settings>General>Notifications>Enable E-mail Notifications

That setting basically disables all email notifications from EasySocial. If you want to send out email notifications from EasySocial, this setting has to be enabled. You can try enabling this and create new posts. Let us know whether the notifications are working after that.

Thank you, but it's not the email notifications that I'm concerned about. The little bell icon within Community, that lists notifications? It doesn't get pinged when a group that a person belongs to gets a new post in it.
