Hi all-

Is there a way to show the sub-categories on a page? For example, the first category at https://socialraisetest.com/dtx/index.php/community/index shows the parent category, but you cannot see the sub-categories unless you click on it. Is there a way to show categories/ sub-categories on the front page?

Thanks!
Kevin
Hello Kevin,

Have you set Show all subcategories at Components > Easydiscuss > Settings > Layout > Categories .

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Hi there-

Thanks for the quick reply. I did enable that setting, however the display shows everything on one level. Is there a way to show that the sub-categories are underneath the category that they belong to? Please see https://socialraisetest.com/dtx/index.php/community

Best,
Kevin

Hello Kevin,

If I understand you correctly, you want to list the subcategories to be something like this? Am I correct?

Category 1
| - Subcategory 1
| - - Subcategory 2
Category 2

I am sorry but the current system doesn't support that category tree in the frontpage.

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for your interest in this. Unfortunately, this category tree on the frontpage is not supported.

If you wish to have this feature, perhaps you can submit us a feature request at https://stackideas/voices/easydiscuss and we'll see how many people rooted for it.

If you require us to perform the customization for you, you can submit a request at https://stackideas.com/customization-works. Our salesperson would gladly send you a quote for the customization that you have requested.

By the way, kindly submit a new ticket rather than posting on the existing ticket as it would be much easier for us to manage in the future.

And since this post is a really old , I will lock this thread and mark this thread as resolved. If you have more questions, kindly please do start a new thread on our forums and we'll look into this.

Thanks.
