Hello !
With EasyDiscuss 4, now it is possible to integrate EasyDiscuss with EasySocial Groups. I am delighted !
Only, why on EasyDiscuss 4 the discussions from the groups are not displayed with other discussions. They are only visible in the Groups section
The discussions from groups must also be visible in "Forum", "Recent", "Categories", "Tags" => So everywhere.

The EasyBlog articles written since the EasySocial Groups are visible all over EasyBlog. Why not do the same with EasyDiscuss 4 Groups ? Is there a setting for this ?

Philippe
Hey there,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

The reason why the group discussion only appear on Easydiscuss group menu page is because these discussion only for the Easysocial group and these discussion only allow group members to view and reply these discussion.

In other word, non group member will not able to view and reply on these discussion which created in the Easysocial group.

Thank you Arlex !
Do not apologize, I think you answer me quickly

I understand your logic. But personally I would like to see these discussions displayed everywhere, not only in the group section.
Everyone could see the questions, but only members of the group could answer and see the answers.
If the user is not a member, we suggest him to join the group to see the answers...

Surprisingly it works like that for EasyBlog, why not reproduce the same for EasyDiscuss 4 ?

Thanks
Philippe

The privacy part is pretty tricky because the ACL in EasyDiscuss is a little different than EasyBlog. It's much more complicated. We'll see what can be done in the future to simplify this.

Okay. Thank you Mark to reflect on this for the next updates.

I also want to suggest you to add to EasyBlog, a Group section (like EasyDiscuss).
It is interesting to have this section only dedicated to contents produced by EasySocial Groups.
