We have noticed that in the EB blog showcase there are blogs which have no image and using the 'no_image' image file which is not actually displaying the image. Although the image is visible on the frontpage.
Do you have a post cover for it? I can't seem to see this issue when I tried to access https://www.opgroeigids.nl/blog

Hi Mark, you need to check the 'showcase' display and wait for the slide. It has no post cover, but is using the placeholder image, see attached screenshot.

update:
still have the issue, but wanting to update to 5.0.21. can I add the image_placeholder images also in our overrides? Would be great if one could manage the no_image (image_placeholder) images via EB admin area.

just thought I'd let you know...

Okay, we still have issues with this. Now maybe we are doing something wrong here and maybe we need to get some notes on the 'no_image_placeholder' no-image workings.

see attached.

Now I placed our custom 'no_image_placeholder' image in our template overrides, but it seems that it did not quite work. And furthermore, we have not been able to get it to use the 'no_image_placeholder' image in the showcase anyway either.

Hi Andrew,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

Can you download my attachment below and place it inside your /components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/blogs/latest/ folder and see how it goes?

Thanks... Okay, will do. However, what are the steps to take (the correct steps) for us to use our own custom 'image placeholder' image?

Hi Andrew,

You can follow Arlex's methods here, http://stackideas.com/forums/easyblog-placeholder-images .

Thanks... That is exactly what I did before. I now have it there again as per Arlex's suggestion, but it is not working. See site details for current location of image.

These are images used if the respective element does not have a picture.

Mark, sorry that I suspected... However where and when are these images /elements used? Is there any documentation on this? Best idea would be to have a way in the EB admin area (Layout section) to assign your own custom placeholder images for these different elements...

For instance, the category picture is used on categories that doesn't have a picture.
