Hi, currently when you click through to an EasyBlog post at the bottom we see SHOW COMMENTS.
But what we really want to do is for that button to say HIDE COMMENTS because we want the comments to show automatically.

Our client is using EasyBlog v 3.9.16263 and the default theme.

I've seen some forum questions about this but they seem to be related to blog layouts, we require the comments to be displayed automatically when you are looking at a single blog post.

Can you please advise how we can do this?

Many thanks.
Hey Marina,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Many thanks for your quick reply Mark.

Unfortunately I'm not able to give you access as I'm signed by a confidentiality agreement but I've attached a screenshot showing what you see when you go to the blog post - it's the button that states: 'show comments (0)' .

But we want the comments to automatically be displayed once you click through to a blog post, but at the moment you have to click the 'show comments' button. We want them to automatically show and for the user to decide whether to 'hide them.

Can you tell me the file I need to change so that the comments display automatically (so that the toggle is display/hide as opposed to what it is now which is hide/display ?

many thanks,
M.

Hi Marina,

By right the comment should appear automatically without having the need to click on the button just like your screenshot above. May I know do you use any 3rd party comment system for your easyblog?

Thanks, I'm not aware of any 3rd party comment software but I will investigate.

Will get back to you Mark,
Thanks, M.

Hi Marina,

Not a problem. You can also check the integration settings from your backend > easyblog > settings > comments > integration, where it will show the list of comment integrations available.

Hi,

I can't see any integrations but
I've been trawling through the files and found this .js file (please see attached screenshot).

Do you think it could be that?

Hey Marina,

This isn't actually part of EasyBlog and to be honest, we can't really troubleshoot this without any access to the site.
