show album description in groups, sorting albums

Hello, I have two questions regarding groups and albums.

1. wondering if there is a way to display the album description for a group.. I have a group where members post items for sale/auction. but when viewing the group stream, only the pictures are shown with a link to the album. Clicking the link will show the description of the album. (screenshot attached) Can I have the album description also show in the stream view of the group ?

2. Can the albums be sorted based on activity.. for instance, if there are 5 albums in a group can I sort them with the most recent commented album on the top of the list ? It seems i can't, or I am not looking at the right options.

Hey Dennis,

Since this would fall under customization request, we normally do not fulfill these request. However, I did a quick edit for you to display album description in the user and group dashboard. This may or may not work and may not be a proper fix so the decision to implement this is up to you. I put in a screenshot preview on how it would look like.

You can apply the fix file into:
1. JoomlaFolder\media\com_easysocial\apps\group\photos\themes\default\streams\add.content.php
2. JoomlaFolder\media\com_easysocial\apps\user\photos\themes\default\streams\group\add.content.php

Do make a backup of the original file too in case you would like to revert back.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to do the two things mentioned.
1. Album description cannot be displayed on the stream.
2. Album list cannot be sorted by activity also.
