Hi,
My question is about the best way to configure EasyBlog given I already had a blog setup but with only about four articles. Seems there is some database risk to using your migration tool and since I only have four posts so far I can easily recreate these.

My question is how do the Easyblog categories relate to the Joomla categories I already created. My site has a blog menu and categories that I connect to each of the blog menu items. I have recreated each of these categories in Easyblog, but I'm unclear on how to go from here. Should I just reassign each of the preexisting blog menu items to the easyblog menu items?

Should I delete the Joomla categories that I created for blog posts?

Appreciate your help.
Hi there,

For your informations, both are different components and we cannot relate them currently. You will need to re-do them over again on Easyblog itself unless you use our migrations tools.

Should I just reassign each of the preexisting blog menu items to the easyblog menu items?

You will need to create them all over again.

Thanks for your understanding.

Hi Abdul,
Thanks for responding. Is it true therefore that Easyblog does not use Joomla categories?

Hi there,

Yes you are correct. We are using our own categories and those categories are created using our installer.
