Setup a category, which is upon "invitation only"?

Is ist possible to setup a category, where only users, which were added / authorized by a moderator, can view, post & reply?

Hm, it's not possible right now as the access for categories are tied to user groups

No problem Alex. By the way, wouldn't it be a very manual thing where the moderators need to manually insert users? Could be really tedious eh?

Yes, I fully agree with you.

The point is that the Y-group I shall migrate to a new board was a closed user group for the last 16 years. So they would like to have such kind of feature. So, the regular registered user may post in the general board, but some of them may get access to a VIP-board. (no, I am not planning any fishy or porn services...

Ah I see. I get what you mean here. I guess moving forward, think about grouping the users in a user group rather than dealing with users selectively?
