Hello Guys,

Could you please tell me how I can make dashboard unvisible for visitors like the same in screenshot? I think it was a default setting in ES version 1.

Best regards,

Zafer
hey zafer,
if you want guests to only see the login / register instead of the dashboard (stream) you could use the easysocial login layout for your menu item.
guests then see the login layout while members will see the dashboard by default, so it should do the trick.

hope that helps and have a nice day

Hello Alex,

Thank you for the answer. Actually, dashboard (stream) will stay like the same in screenshot. Only contents will be invisible to guests and there will be that sign which tells guests to register/login if they want to see contents.

Hi Zafer,

If you set ES into Lockdown mode you will get what you wanted but all contents will be invisible to Guest/Public until they log in.

Hope that help.

hey zafer,
perhaps there's some mis-communication going on here. from your title and description the way I understand it you want guests not to see the stream at all. therefore if you set the menu item to the login layout this should actually do exactly this. when doing so this is what a guest will see: http://screencast.com/t/wwfUxQWDMWp

if you have something else in mind please elaborate more on this, I will gladly help you out then

Hi LAC, Hi Alex,

I have two sites. If I didnt miss anything, they use the same settings. But results are different. Please check them below. On bizbey.com I started ES from version 1.1. So it keeps old settings, I guess.

Hello Zafer,

Have you turn on the Lockdown mode as mentioned by LAC? You might want to provide us your backend and FTP so we can have a better look on your issue here. Please advise.

I have just made an override to one file in template. Its dashboard/guest.something.login or like that and remove unnecessary stuff from it.

I like the idea of having public network if users really want to, but "starting screen" for guests is simply overcrowded with unnecessary stuff.

Hello Nick,

Yes, I did, but it is not the same. Enabling lock down mode completely removes public stream. I thought there should be a kind of setting for this.

Hello Zafer,

Sorry for late reply to this, I have checked in your both site, it look like this site ( http://bizbey.com/network ) you restricted guest user is not allow to view the stream.

Actually I have a little bit lost here, because it seems like you did it Enabling lock down mode completely removes public stream, hmm may i know is it you would like to show some of the stream from the community page or disappear all the stream like this screenshot http://screencast.com/t/rWh2CDJsmC ?

Also, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access of your both site? So we can help you solve this quickly? Please advise.
