I am having problems setting who receives the new user registered email. My site is currently set up to that users who register need approval but I (the web developer) is the only one who seems to be getting the notification email (and I don't do the approvals). The persona who is supposed to get the notifications is also a system admin but claims he never receives the email. Is there a setting I need to change? and new users never show up in the pending approval list. Any help is appreciated.

Hello Kimberly,

As long as the user is in the "Super Administrator" user group in Joomla, they will be able to receive these emails. Did you get any email notifications from these newly registered users?
