Hi guys,

How do we go about setting up PayPlans to show when a user logs in for the first time, after being approved? We do not want to show users the subscriptions before they get approved as they might not get approved... so what we need instead is once a user is approved and receives the notification that they have been approved when the login to the site for the first time they're shown the subscription page where they select the most appropriate subscription and pay for their account. Once they have paid they will never see the payment screen again...

How do we do this?

Thanks,
Katie
Hey Katie,

I didn't get your requirement properly. What i understand if user logged in on site and not subscribed to any plan then first they need to subscribe first or.

Please elaborate it more , so i'll help you on this.

Thank you for understanding !

Hi,

Yes, so the user will sign up to the site and go into an area where they will wait until they are approved to the site. Once they're approved by the site they will be able to log in as they will be notified. On FIRST login i then want the payplans page to come up so the user has to pay for their subscription.

So basically I don't want PayPlans appearing on registration as the user has to be approved first.

How do we do that?

Thanks,
Katie

Hey Markus,

In your case PayPlans Block Non Subscriber functionality will work. If you enabled Block Non Subscriber option then then it restrict the all users who do not have valid subscription and redirect to subscription process.

Please take a look on this and correct me if i misunderstood.

Thank you for understanding !

Hi,

This won't work as we have some non-subscribers on the site, as some users are allowed a free subscription.

How do we apply it based on what profile type they have?

Thanks,
Katie

Hey Marcus,

Currently it's not possible with PayPlans to show plan page as per the user profile type. I mean registered user without any subscription , redirect them to plan page after login according to specific profile type.

Let me know if you have any query.

Hi Manisha,

This is the plan that we would like to have:
The tester group and the photographers are free forever, the admin can assign these people manually to the 'Free Membership' group
The existing users who have been using the site since the 29th of October 2018 will get the first year free, then will have to pay (ie February 11th 2020)
Anyone signing up after 11th February will get a 28 day trial and then 9.99 per year (standard PayPlans functionality)

please can you tell me how to set this up in Payplans

thanks
Marcus

Hey Marcus,

I am really sorry for delayed response due to public holiday and weekend.

What i understand , you have one recurring plan (1 year free then paid), you want that existing user's who are using site sinc oct 2018 will get 1 year and other user after 11 feb get 28 trial, currently this scenario is not possible with payplans.

Let me know if you have any query or correct me if i misunderstood.

Hi Marcus,

I have been able to accomplish this by using the juserapp in PayPlans to assign the paid user to a Joomla Group. then I use the Joomla Redirect On Login Extension to redirect the user based on their group assignment, Maybe this will work for you as well?
