We are trying to setup the email parser.
We keep getting the error message "Failed, imap is not compiled with PHP"
Our email that is associated is based in Gmail.
Can you help us to set this up?
Hello Martin,

I am not too sure if you are the same Martin as the one that posted on our priority desk but if your hosting provider does not support IMAP, there's no way around this unfortunately

Yes I am the same Martin the you replied to on the priority desk. I will check with our hosting provider to see what upgrades are involved to allow for IMAP support. Does this also impact the CRON behavior, because I see that automated updates from the forum do not currently go out.

Hello Martin,

Nope, imap is only required if you want EasyDiscuss to parse e-mails It does not affect the cronjob.

Thanks! Can I ask for assistance in getting the cronjob working for our site?

Sure, but it's pretty easy to setup the cronjob for Godaddy. You just need to follow the instructions here, http://stackideas.com/docs/easydiscuss/cronjobs/setting-up-cronjobs-for-godaddy-hosting

Thanks. I think I had one of the settings wrong in the cron.php file (I had included the http://, and in the file it says to remove this). How can I test to see that this settings is working. It is supposed to deliver email notifications for forum topics that I was involved with, correct?

Hello Martin,

Yep, that's correct. Perhaps you could also upload the cron.php file here so that I can review it?
