I need to change the group default display - timeline shows too much information, info shows featured groups at the top and still shows all the groups assigned to the user.

I need to show only featured groups. Can you tell me where in the code to change this filter even though the EasySocial admin screen does not offer this filter choice?

Second, I might eventually find that only the Featured groups are required and all the other groups are "system groups" which are not used directly by the user should be hidden. These groups are used for organization emails or notifications to a specific group of users. How could groups be hidden from users?

login to the site front-end using the stored site details - I have created a user for Stackideas.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Todd
Hi Todd,

Basically it is not possible but you can try to download my attachment below and place it in the respective file path below.
1) /components/com_easysocial/views/groups/view.html.php
2) /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/groups/default.php

Hey Tkabe,

I am not really sure if I understand your inquiry here. Could you please elaborate more on your request by providing us with some screen shots please?

Mark,

See the attached screen capture showing the social configuration screen and the Group Default Display and the result of the "Info" setting in the group view. The goal is to display featured instead of info or timeline. The second part of the question related to hiding any group I designate that is a system group - used by our system to organize users and these groups are not used by the users. The goal is to hide a group so the user is not confused by a group they are assigned to that the user does not understand.

I could not get two screen captures to upload so you will need to find the Group Default Display field and the drop down choices here: Easysocial>Settings>groups>general

Hope this helps explain the question better.
