Can we have the permission to help you update your test site Easyblog, Easysocial and user blog app to latest version? so we can continue investigate this on your site?

Because I was unable to replicate this issue in my locally.

I updated everything and uploaded an image placeholder in template override, but still get the previous placeholder in ES stream activity for blog without cover.
As for video cover blog, i get a placeholder with a video icon, not the video itself.

This is what you need to do :

1. I noticed one of the stream item is share the blog post link into Easysocial user dashboard, you have to put your custom placeholder image under this file location as well.

JoomlaFolder/templates/<yourtemplate>/html/com_easyblog/images/placeholder-facebook.png


2. About your blog entry page doesn't show that placeholder image is because you didn't have enable this setting "show placeholder image" (screenshot : https://monosnap.com/file/ReAZhTh1J2qV8W86iZPYFjZ56VuHp6 ) which I already help you enabled it, it should show this placeholder image on the blog entry page and the stream item now.

3. When you share a blog post (video) link into Easysocial user dashboard, it will show that video icon placeholder image by default. If you would like to change this video icon placeholder video image, you can put your custom placeholder video image into same template override file location.
