When I tried to send a message to a user it showed:

"Sorry, but you have exceeded the amount of messages allowed to be sent daily. Please try again tomorrow."

where can I change the limits of that ?
Hello,

Hm, by default it shouldn't have any restrictions at all. You can set the limit under Profile Types > Access tab > Conversations.

Hello Aelsharawi,

Can you try editing your profile type and set to Unlimited for daily send limit?

This is very interesting as I just started experiencing the exact same problem starting after I did an update to 1.2.12, then I got anther update notice today, so I updated to 1.2.13 and the messaging issue remains.

I have no limits set on private messages that I can find.

My site has seemed to be terribly slow as of late too.

Site admin access added below.

If you guys are hitting the issue with conversations, please download the latest launcher 1.2.13, from our site and install it again. Alternatively, you can fix this by re-discovering the "Access rules" in the "Access" area.

I can confirm the same issue on both .12 and .13. Updating to .13 did not resolve it but Rediscovering Access Rules did resolve it on .13

I had tried the upgrade install, and no luck. I did the rediscover access rules and all seems to be good again.

Thank you.

I just tried to fix this problem which I am also having by first upgrading to EasySocial v1.2.13 and then I went to rediscover. However, all javascript on my site is broken again. This same thing happened to my site when I upgraded to EasySocial v1.2.12. I did the upgrade by downloading the launcher and uploading it through the Joomla extension manager to install. I also tried to install by downloading the complete package and uploading through the Joomla extension manager. Neither worked for me. What is happening is some of the files are missing. In particular the following files I expected to see are missing:

httpdocs/media/com_easysocial/scripts/easysocial-1.2.12.optimized.js
httpdocs/media/com_easysocial/scripts/easysocial-1.2.12.optimized.min.js
httpdocs/media/com_easysocial/scripts/easysocial-1.2.12.static.js
httpdocs/media/com_easysocial/scripts/easysocial-1.2.12.static.min.js

I will keep trying to get this installed since a broken site is bad news!

hey sean,
looks like you face other issues than described here in the post, so it would be better to open up a new one.
having that said I inspected your site and all the js files that are missing are tried to load via your CDN so the problem is most probably over there. try to clear your cdn cache and/or switch it off for testing and see if then the files are loaded correctly.

if you still face issues after that feel free to open a new topic with your site details so that we can have a closer look. have a nice day

Actually I had faced another issue that prevented me from dealing with this one. I did get it working though by carefully following the instructions here. I ran the upgrade and then after I ran the discover. I do not know why I had to run the upgrade twice but that is a small problem. The fact is that by running the Discover it was able to get rid of the error messages. So, hopefully that will work for everybody else as well. I will try to remember to do that after every upgrade. :-)

Can you pass me your Joomla site admin access and your ftp account so that I can investigate your issue further? I suspect the new rule files for conversation wasn't added into your EasySocial during your installation Just a wild guest.

Please advise.
