Hi there-

The SEF for the blog section on the site used to be fine, but now it appears that it's not working. For example, it's going to URLs such as /?view=entry&id=35.

When trying to upgrade the EasyBlog, it crashed the whole site so please be careful in your troubleshooting. :-)

There are more details in the private message section.

Thanks again!

Best,
Kevin
Hi there,

Sorry for the delay of this reply.

The SEF for the blog section on the site used to be fine, but now it appears that it's not working. For example, it's going to URLs such as /?view=entry&id=35.

When i try to access /?view=entry&id=35 it seems to work fine at my end as show http://prntscr.com/bt3idc. Please advice.

When trying to upgrade the EasyBlog, it crashed the whole site so please be careful in your troubleshooting. :-)

I am a bit lost here. Did you need us to perform update for your EasyBlog? Please advice.

Hi there -

Sorry for the delay in my response. We don't need an upgrade to the blog, as we are going to be replacing the site shortly. I was just noting that I did try to upgrade the blog in hopes that it would solve the SEF problem.

The issue is that the SEF is not working based off of the blog title. So /?view=entry&id=35 should be something like /blog-title.

please let me know if there's any more info needed.

Thanks again!
Kevin

Hi there,

Actually that was known issue when using older version of Easyblog 3.x in Joomla 3.5 onward, to fix this I would strongly recommended you upgrade your 3.x to Easyblog 5 latest version, because a lots of Joomla latest version compatible issue already fixed in latest version of Easyblog.

If you decided to upgrade your EasyBlog, let us know

Hi there-

I did try upgrading EasyBlog, but it crashed the entire site. If you are able to upgrade while keeping the layout, would you be able to upgrade? However, again - please be sure that you take precaution since it did crash the last time during the upgrade attempt.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi there,

As for consideration, can you copy/move all you components into your test site as for precaution measure? If the upgrade messed up, it will not crash your real site.

If you are able to upgrade while keeping the layout, would you be able to upgrade?

Did you meant that you want to keep the layout of this Link?
If yes, you have to consult with you "JA Sugite" template provider whether this template is compatible with our EB5 or not. This is because if not compatible, it sure will messed up with your current layout as EB5 have done some modifications.
