When I run a Search using the Search Blogs menu item, I get the following error message on a separate page:

0
syntax error, unexpected 'Saturday' (T_STRING)

The page you are looking for was moved, removed, renamed or might never existed.
Go to the Home Page
Hey Dietrich,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. It seems like there is a search plugin that is throwing these errors. Is there a test site which we can troubleshoot this?

I removed mijosearch. I am now getting the following error when I try to search blogs:

0
syntax error, unexpected ','

The page you are looking for was moved, removed, renamed or might never existed.
Go to the Home Page

The Easyblog routine works perfectly on my test site. It kicks out the above error on the live site.

So, no there is no test site to evaluate the problem.

If that is the thing, that was difficult for us to know where went wrong without troubleshoot on your site.

Perhaps you can try my following troubleshoot method and see if it can return more error message regarding this :

1. Do the full backup first.
2. Temporary switch your current default template to Joomla Protostar or Beez template
3. Set error reporting to maximum from backend > system > global configuration > server
4. Enable debug system from backend > system > global configuration > system
5. Try search a blog in frontend
6. Check and see whether it did show any error details.

I tried Joomla Smart Search with filters set to Easyblog and Easydiscuss.

This works.

Thanks for letting us know that Joomla smart search is work great.

If you would like to figure out why it doesn't work in normal search area, perhaps you can try my instruction above and see whether it will show more error details regarding this issue.
