Please add support in the EasySocial Search Module for custom fields. The fields have a searchable option in them but the module doesn't return any results related to them. The module should function in a similar manner with regards to results as the Advanced Search does.

James
Hi there,

We do have this setting http://take.ms/j64bI for Easysocial search modules currently. Or did you wanted to make sure that when you searched, it will listed all custom fields in it? If yes, unfortunately it is not possible to achieve this currently.

Please advice.

For it use custom fields in search results.

For example, we have built a new Custom Field for Events that supports Joomla's Tagging System. Unfortunately though when a user searches using the EasySocial Search Module it WILL find the tags but clicking the tag does not link properly.

Hi there,

I can access them now. By the way, honestly, im not sure how to replicate them on your end currently. I tried to do some searching and it does works fine. Maybe you can provide me with more details and steps on how to replicate them.

Please advice.

Can you try the new link in the first post?

This is the development server where we have created the Event Tag Field for EasySocial. Once you are there, go to the event I have made in EasySocial and edit it, when editing it add some tags to the tag field and you will see that it is dynamic. After you have added them you will be able to see them in the admin area in Joomla Tags Component. Then, on the frontend use the EasySocial search module (right side) to search for one of those tags.

Hi there,

After further check them, it seems that searching that being done without advanced search return your tag created on the site not tag on your Events fields as you can see here http://take.ms/uOH9p and on smart search http://take.ms/Ro77U. *tag section
https://www.skillbuyer.com/easysocial/administrator/index.php?option=com_tags

You need to go inside 'advanced search' in order to make sure it search for those tags you created as you can see here http://take.ms/RHQ7Nr

Currently, normal search will search this options only http://take.ms/Hhfea. Please advice.

Thanks Abdul.

Your last statement is that the "Normal" EasySocial Search will search only these: http://take.ms/Hhfea

One of those options is "Tags" and it does in fact return the search results which is great. The problem is that when you click on one it does not go to the proper results page and we are struggling with understanding how to resolve this. In other words, is there a way to achieve the same results from the Search Module Input field as we are getting from the Advanced Search?

Hi there,

The problem is that when you click on one it does not go to the proper results page and we are struggling with understanding how to resolve this

Those result will always be based on Joomla tag and it will shown you those result if you included those tags into your articles. It will not be based on those events.

In other words, is there a way to achieve the same results from the Search Module Input field as we are getting from the Advanced Search?

Currently, using normal search will use Smart Search and there are no such conditions existed used to search them. Only by using advanced search you can search for those fields.

Thanks for your understanding.
