Hi there -

We currently have EasyBlog and PayPlans setup at http://www.srstaging.com/claviercompanion. We're hoping to have the search results show the intro text of the articles that are set to registered. Currently, if you're logged out and do a search, the posts that have ACL set to registered aren't showing in the search results at all. Can this be changed?

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Can you check my attached screenshot below and see is it you mean you set that blog post privacy to "Registered user"?

If that is the case, the current behaviour is those guest shouldn't see these blog post result, but you can download my attached file and replace into this file location, so guest user can able to see the result.

Hi there -

Thanks for the quick response! I replaced the file, however it isn't working as it should. For example, if you go to: http://www.srstaging.com/claviercompanion/component/finder/search?q=learning+john+cage&Search=

This should see a search result. If I log in, I do see it, but we want to also see it when the user is logged out. Any other thoughts?

Oh, first i thought you are referring Easyblog search engine, it seems like you referring Joomla smart search.

Then you have to modify on this file -> JoomlaFolder/plugins/finder/easyblog/easyblog.php and refer on my attached screenshot below which line of code have to comment it.

After you modified, you have to purge all the index from your backend > component > smart search , then click reindex button again.

Then try search that blog post on the page.
