How,

I would like the name of the members of m y website don't appear when we search their name on google. How can I do that ?

Thanks a lot,

EG
I suppose you could modify the robots.txt file to do this. So for example if your users were site/profile/edouard you could put in the robots.txt the following code at the bottom of the page:

Disallow: /profile/

The robots.txt is in the root directory of your site. It tells search engines what to ignore. A stacked member can verify if this works for entire directories beyond the folder itself.

Yep, Josh is correct and you can add the /profile/ segment into your robots.txt so that they will ignore such permalinks

Hello Edouard,

You'll just need to do the same for the aliases that you want to hide from search engines on your robots.txt For instance,

Disallow: /groups/
