I recently updated Easy social to the latest version. For some strange reason my search is not working correctly.
I could type in a name of an existing user and it doesn't return any results or If I click on advance search and it takes me to a page for one of my extensions - Business Directory.

This happens even if I use the system docker for search.
Thanks
Based on what i checked on your site, it seems like quite a lot of users doesn't indexed from the smart search component.

I already help you re-index again from backend, you should able to search those user on the site.

If the issue still persists, can you provide us which user name you trying to search?

If it work fine, can you try register a new user account your site, and see whether you can searchable this new user on the site using other login user account?

It's still not working. I can type any name and it won't return the results or it will return weird results. You can try any name, Chloe, Jaymon. Also when I click on Normal Search or Advance Search, the link takes me to a different page.

I think i got your meaning now, it seems like you trying to search those username instead of their real name.

Because by default Easysocial search engine doesn't index their username, just indexed their user real name like those first/middle/last name, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

http://take.ms/8nArz

If you would like to search those username directly, you can try follow this instruction :

1. Switch to indexed 'username' setting http://take.ms/P4plw
2. Go to your backend > component > smart search component > filter by Easysocial user (http://take.ms/42u8V) > select all and click delete
3. Once you deleted, you have to click on index button http://take.ms/8WFP2 and wait for while
4. once it index completed, you can try search your username on the search bar.

Thanks, however I've notice when you clicked on the Advance search, it links to a blank page and view all results links to a different page, why is it doing that?

I've checked in your site, it seems like that `search` alias conflict with JV-LinkDirectory menu, i already help you created a hidden menu item for Easysocial search menu, it should work fine now.

Can you give it a check and see how it goes.
