Hello Support,

This is in regards to the search function found in the Easyblog Component on one of our client sites.

We have a published post titled "This Internet Scam Is Getting Very Personal". When using the search function found on the blog page, using "Scam" in my search. It is not pulling that article. Please advise.

Hi Chris,

I suspect the reason is due to the blog post being created by 'Guest'. You can try searching for the blog posts created by 'Guest' and a real blogger user and you should notice that the ones belong to 'guest' is not searchable.

May I know how was the blog post created initially? since non-logged in users should not be able to create new blog post.

Hello Raymond,

Here is a screenshot of the editor:

The post options were untouched. When the post was created these were the default options.

I logged into the front end to try and see if i could search for it under a super user account and could not locate it. the post is from August 24th. Please let me know what you think. I can provide more information if needed.

Thanks again!

Hey Chris,

1. For that post, may I know who is the author in the composer(https://www.screencast.com/t/PslIjXa1)? In the frontend blog listing, the post author is 'guest'(https://www.screencast.com/t/OOfrSCcZ3jo).

2. Can you try creating a new post and see who the author is after publishing it?

3. Can you check this setting and see which author is it? https://www.screencast.com/t/XLoyUwKVb
