when I search (see attachment) and click on the result, only the links on page name or username work correctly, instead clicking on an album or articles are always redirected to the home page.
Hey Giacomo,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue? You may store your site access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so you don't have to provide these information all the time

Since this is an isolated issue (not something that we can reproduce this locally) as it depends on several factors:

* The way your menu items are created

* The privacy of the items

* The privacy of the users

* Possible conflicts with 3rd party plugins

If you want me to replicate this issue locally, it's not going to be possible.

apparently the problem is that the link is added to the user who entered the content. in the example link below, if I remove the "staff-esn" url, everything works fine. How can I solve the problem?

I wish I could give you an answer right now but I really can't. What has happened after the upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1. Did you changed any settings? Did you create / modify any menus?

The only way I can give you an answer is to have an exact replica of your site internally.

I ask at least to verify the query that generates the link. if you tell me the file I'll try it alone. it is also strange that for the page the problem does not occur but only on albums. thank you so much

Hi Giacomo,

If you could make a staging site mirrored to your live site, we would glad to debug/troubleshoot this issue for you as we really want to help you on this as we cannot replicate this issue locally, it might happened of any possibilities.
However the file that render the dropdown search result is actually in the file:
.../components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/search/mini/item.php
where mainly the $item was from:
.../components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/search/mini/default.php
and get from result:
.../components/com_finder/models/search.php

By the way, do you have try to re-index the smart search by any chance?

To re-index:
1. Click Components>smart search>clear index and re-index it back http://take.ms/jqKQy http://take.ms/hpIam

in components I do not see "smart search". I then went looking and plugged in I found "Smart Search - EasySocial Pages" with the lock symbol. I have then unlocked but the problem continues to persist and in the component list I continue to not see it.

Hey Giacomo,

To be frank with you, that was difficult for us to know which part caused this issue without troubleshoot on your site.

Can you consider to setup one of the user account for your site backend and FTP, so we can troubleshoot this issue on your site directly? Because some time it will cause by other 3rd party plugin or something else.

You can add those login credentials from your profile here http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site, this section only our moderators and your can able to access.

On my site there are thousands of sensitive data from my customers. I would like to avoid damage in this regard. It is not a lack of trust, but I would keep it as a last resort. How can I restore the smart search component?

Alright.

You can try following step how to restore this Smart search component on your site.

1. Do the full backup on your site.

2. Go to your site backend dashboard and click on this -> http://take.ms/xO1Wn

3. Click 'Check for updates' and wait for page refreshed, then only click on "Reinstall core files" -> http://take.ms/vXoEw

4. Wait that Joomla update progress until completed -> http://take.ms/egJPY

5. And follow this final step -> http://take.ms/z7hHF

Hope this will help.
