I've been updating easysocial since 3.1.11, and now i notice that in the media folder under easysocial scripts there are static & optimized javascripts for each version, can i safely delete all the previous version js or are they needed?

Same issue is there for easyblog ( Media/com_easyblog/scripts) can i safely delete all the previous version js or are they needed?

This is because my akeeba back up is taking a lot of time on local and the file size is also inflating.

regards
Hi Sunny?

May I ask, what version of your EasySocial? If you're using an older version of EasySocial, can you please update it to the latest? We have addressed this issue in the latest version.

About the EasyBlog script, I believe you can safely delete the older/previous version script. However, we haven't included this feature in the latest EasyBlog. We'll see if we can include it in the future releases.

Thanks and have a nice day.

Hi Sunny,

I have tried to replicate this issue locally by installing the latest version of EasySocial. The latest EasySocial v1.3.23 deletes all older version scripts and leave only script for 1.3.23. I suspected that your Akeeba backup put the script back after EasySocial installer deletes it. You can try temporarily disable Akeeba backup and re-install the latest EasySocial.

Hope this worked.

Hi Mohd,

The latest version does delete the setup files in the admin/component/.. folder, it leaves the older scripts in root/media/component.. folder, akeeba is not resurrecting the files.

Can i manually delete the older js files from the media folder of easysocial & easyblog? will it affect the functioning in any way?

regards
Saurabh

Hi Sunny,

Yes. You may delete the older version of JS file. I believe it won't affect the functionality of EasySocial and EasyBlog.

Thanks and have a nice day.

Hello Sunny,

It seems like we've missing the checking for the "Last logged in" view in profile popbox view. Can you try download the attachment below and place it inside your /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/profile/ and then try to turn off the last logged in options from the backend > easysocial > themes > [your default themes] > profile, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-27_1753.png and see how it goes?
