The scheduling feature for posts is not working. I have tried it in 3 browsers (Chrome, Firefox and IE). None of the calendar icons work and there seems to be no way to change the dates manually.

When trying to preview a post I just get a page with a subscribe link in Chrome and Firefox. IE throws a 500 error.
Hi Anne Marie,

Thanks for fixing the IP blocking issue. Now i no longer see those error message
Back to your issue, I've added a fix on your site and now when you autopost to facebook, the image should display correctly. The reason why you are seeing blank post is because EasyBlog send the incorrect format of the image link Can you give it a try again now?

Also, for your information, during my previous testing on your site, I've enabled this option from your EasyBlog facebook autoposting the 'Autopost On Post Being Updated'. This is why when you update an existing post, EasyBlog autopost to your FB page. If you do not wish to autopost to fb when you update a blog post, you should disable this setting.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

This may be related but the wrong dates are also showing on the frontpage in the calendar of the theme. All my posts are showing February 28th.

Hi Anne Marie Rasmussen,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,

Can i have the permission to help you update to latest version of Easyblog first?

because that publish date issues already fix it in latest version.

By the way, may i know how to reproduce those issues in your site?
#1. None of the calendar icons work
#2. wrong dates are also showing on the frontpage (because it seems like show correctly, check my screenshot below.)

Also may i know did you setup the cronjob in your site yet? Because the schedule post required cronjob setup so that it will automatically publish when it reach the publish date.

Hi Arlex,

Feel free to update the site to the new version.

Regarding the date on the Frontpage. I changed the template. Some templates (origami was one) showed the date being February 28th. However the publishing date of the 2nd post was June 22 not June 21 which is what the menu item is set to show.

I did not see realise that a cronjob was needed for scheduling posts. Is the command the same as 3.9 as I can just copy previous cronjob commands then. My server is a bit finicky about setting up cronjobs.

Hello Anne Marie,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

I've upgraded your EasyBlog to latest version of 5.0.9 and now the date picker in composer page should allow you to pick a date and time for post scheduling

As for the blog post preview, look like there is some issue with the feature. Can you pass me your FTP account so that I can investigate your issue further?

Please advise.

Still having problems with the dates. I changed the publishing date for a post this morning to today's date but it still shows the creation date (June 21) on the frontpage. The menu has the settings to show the publishing date so I'm not sure what the issue is. I now have 3 posts dated June 21st and not as posted on consecutive days.

Hi Anne Marie,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue with EasyBlog preview feature, if you are creating a blog post from backend and attempt to preview your blog post, you might hit a 400 error 'blog post not found' issue. This is because EasyBlog require you to login to frontpage in order to view the preview as there is some validation on the blog author when previewing the blog post.

I've logged into your frontend and attempt to preview a blog post via backend, the blog preview correctly. Please see http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-23_1914.png

Still having problems with the dates. I changed the publishing date for a post this morning to today's date but it still shows the creation date (June 21) on the frontpage. As for the above, I've checked your site and look like you did not set any timezone on your Joomla site. Please see http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-23_1918.png

You will need to configure the server timezone correctly so that the date picker will able to display the correct date and time. Also, make sure your user's the timezone setting configured correctly as well. This user's setting is located at Users -> User manager -> [select your user] -> Basic settings and look for 'Time Zone'. Please see http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-23_1921.png

If you wish to follow the timzone setting from your Joomla global setting, you then set the user timezone to 'use default'.

Let me know if the above fix your date issue or not.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hi,

I have to put together a new post for tomorrow morning so hopefully everything will work properly. I have always UTC as the time zone for my sites and don't remember it being an issue with Easyblog 3.9. I have changed the time zones as required so hopefully future posts will show the correct dates now. I have also set up the cron job now so hopefully that will get the scheduled posts working now.

One last problem I can't seem to get any image but the avatar to post on Facebook when I use autopost. It doesn't seem to matter whether I use a blog image or image inside the post I only get a blank square with the title text (and no link) on FB. The only way I can get anything posted is to use an avatar image and then the blog post appears. Since the main point of the blog is to get the images seen it is kind of defeating the purpose and I may end up having to ditch the autopost. I don't have this problem when I use EB 3.9 so think it must be a bug in 5?

Hi Anne Marie,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Sure do let us know if your schedule post get through or not.

As for the FB autoposting the image issue, I've added a fix on your site. However during my test, whenever I added an image block, i noticed the ajax request get redirect to your main site ( HTML 302 code ). Also, after awhile, I am getting below message when I attempt to save a blog post. Anyway, can you try again the FB autoposting and see if now your image posted to your FB page?

It seems that your IP is being blocked by our security system. If you feel this is an error please contact our webmaster for help.
Your IP address is 118.100.213.245. If you believe this is an error, please contact the Webmaster .

Can you temporary disabled your IP blocking so that I can continue the test? Also, you might want to remove those test items that I've posted into your FB page.

Please advise.

Hope this help and have a nice day.

You should be ok on the site now.

1) I confirm the scheduled post is working now. The posted date is now correct.
2) When I updated earlier posts and ticked to post to FB the images showed up.
3) The image and text with the scheduled post just now DID NOT. (block letters so you don't miss that information ) Instead it was a blank box with just the post title in it. I tried to update the post but got the blank box again.
So we are getting there but not quite.
