Saving edits in recurring events

Hi
The last few days I've noticed an issue with saving edits made to recurring events. i make changes to the parent, but the green progress bar never moves...and the changes aren't made.

If I refresh the 'saving page' I then get this a joomla error
"An error has occurred
-1 Source Folder Not Found
Return to control panel"

If it does update, then the updates across all the events are confined to text alterations. Changing a cover image or icon doesn't update.

The IT courses in the Education/Courses category has some examples of recurring events this month where I've discovered this issue.

I haven't had a problem this before...it's only since the server php7 upgrade.

Hi Paul,

I've replicate this issue locally and seems I can reproduce it. I've logged this issue in our issue tracker, and our developers will take an action for this

Hello Paul,

Can I have the name of the event that you were testing this on? By the way, let me get this correctly. Are you saying that when you upload an event cover or picture, saving it will not affect the events that were repeated from the original event or at times it hits errors?

yes, that's rig[u]ht. The images appear on the parent, but not recurring. Sometimes the process hangs....sometimes it doesn't, but the result is always the same!
The event's i've been trying to do it on are in education/courses category. They're 3 identical events, just at different venues, called 'Introduction to Tablets - placename
