Hello,

since the last update of EasyBlog there is a bug with the draft and auto saving feature. It does only work one time. So for example
- if I hit the save as draft button one time it works, the next time it does not
- once an auto save has been created one time it does not work again and the save draft button stops working as well

Closing and re-opening the article does fix it and it works for another time and then it does not work again and so on.

Please fix that since this does seriously interfer with our work.

Thanks in advance,

Chris
I tested in my locally, it seems work fine.

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a look of this issue?

By the way, in the future you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site rather than needing to keep adding them in your replies.

Hey Christopher,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply,

I've tested create a new post then I save as draft.

After that I edit back this draft post and save as draft again, it seems work fine for me.

Perhaps you can watch my video ( http://screencast.com/t/cpbsjpjnCz ) and see is it I missed something to reproduce this issue?

Please advise.

No, you didn't get what I said. Please read again. You are closing the composer again and then try it again. That's what I need to do to solve the issue. The problem is that you can not save a draft several times without closing the composer.

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I've tested again, perhaps you can watch my 2 video and see is it I reproduce this issue correctly?

- http://screencast.com/t/2UfZcAEdv (multiple save as draft without close composer)
- http://screencast.com/t/2v76oyAPd (auto save without click save as draft)

If no, perhaps you can download Jing software here -> https://www.techsmith.com/jing.html , then record a video for this issue.

Thank you, you reproduced the issue correctly. This seems to be an issue with Safari on Mac OS X. It works on Chrome and Firefox.

Hey Christopher,

I've asked my colleague reproduce these issue in his Macbook, it seems like he also can't reproduce that multiple save as draft issue in safari browser using Macbook.

But we found out that auto save have a small bug, that happening when you select composer template before you fill in your blog content.

I already applied some fix in this file JoomlaFolder\media\com_easyblog\scripts\composer\templates.js and changed your Easyblog environment mode to use development is because that fix code is not compile into production mode.

Can you give it a try again is it work fine now when the auto save kick in (after 60 second)?

Uhm... one of my important templates suddenly is empty. Its the review template. Did you overwrite it by accident?

I've checked in your site, it seems like you revert back to production mode, currently you have to use development mode in Easyblog is because what I fix is haven't compile that latest fix js script file in your site.

Production mode - System will only load single compiled script file
Development mode - System will load all the single script file

Regarding with your review template issue, can you provide us with your PHPMYADMIN access and FTP as well? It seems like you have changed with your FTP login credentials.

Or you can follow my instruction how to check from your database and FTP file.

Open your phpmyadmin > select #__easyblog_post_template table > check your template `screenshot` columns and see that image path is it available in your server

You can refer on my attached screenshot below.

I already checked that, the template has been overwritten with an empty template on March 28 early morning. So it seems like it has been overwritten by someone of you guys by accident. I already started re-doing the template, so no worries.

Regarding the production mode I disabled it again because it caused an issue with one of my plugins. I will wait for the fix to be included in the next release.

Thanks!
