Save As option for Groups

Hi guys,

I am still trying to find a way of duplicating content within the groups component (to create a reusable template).
I have started a couple of threads on this related to the Tasks app, project management tools etc.

I had a thought just now, that if it can be achieved, would do almost everything I need.

Is it possible to add a Save As New Copy button to the Groups component front end? This would allow my members to re-use the same Group over and over - and effectively be the template I need.

I am hoping this is something that is more achievable than my previous feature requests, and maybe something I can do myself with a bit of guidance from you.

I see the Save As Copy, or Duplicate all over Joomla components so I'm hoping this is achievable.

It would certainly make my day so fingers crossed

Currently we do not have this yet and we will see if we can include this in the future.

thanks for your response. I see that the Profiles have this option (in the backend) but Events, Groups etc. don't.

If I wanted to try and add this solution just to meet my own needs - as appreciate its not a priority for others. Is there some person you could recommend I could go to get the work done? Would a Joomla component developer be able to do it or will it have to be someone with specific knowledge of Easysocial?

I am not a programmer unfortunately, but I am guessing its more than just adding a link in the Groups page that says Save As Copy or Duplicate Group and requires a lot more including adding it as a toolbar item in the Joomla Administrator Component for Easysocial etc.

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I am not really sure if there's anyone that is able to add such customizations but perhaps you could try http://joomlancers.com ?
