How does ES work with using Amazon S3 Storage? In my understanding, ES will upload all Album Photos to S3 when cron is triggered but ES will also delete the local copies of photos after it has been successfully uploaded.

I'm using v1.3.13 and all the photos got uploaded to S3 but the original photos are still in my local drive. Is this how it supposed to work?
Hello,

Sorry for the late reply. Hm, local files will be deleted after they are pushed to Amazon S3. Can you provide us your backend and FTP access so we can have a better look on your issue here?

Hello Jackson,

I've fixed it for you in this file: ../administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/cron/hooks/storage.php. Please have a look.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for looking at this. I just tested it creating an Album in my Profile and it does delete the files after it got uploaded to S3 but it retain one file with filename mg-0001_stock.jpg and looking at the filesize it looks the original image. Is there any reason why the original image has to be retained?

Thanks,

Jackson
